Where it all started...It's all about Jesus!

Before Fountain of Praise Church received its name, service began on April 29, 2015 at 8202 Club Meadow Dr. in Converse, Texas. Club Meadow Dr. was the home of Mr. & Mrs. Rufus Weatherly, the families matriarch and patriarch. Weekly bible study took place for three months during which Pastor Hale’s oldest daughter Tiffany birthed the name “Fountain of Praise". After much discussion, the slogan “Where the well never runs dry” referencing John 4:14 stuck with all who heard it. With a name and slogan embodying their belief, Pastor Hale set out to find a place to start God’s church.

503 Station Street was previously held by Bishop Brothers, a long time Bishop in the Converse area. Bishop Brothers would allow Pastor Hale to hold Sunday morning services, then Wednesday night bible study, and later Sunday school classes. Over months of prayer and growth, the Lord showed his favor and the church was officially owned by Pastor Hale. “The Fountain of Praise Church, where the well never runs dry”, is a church founded on faith and the belief that God can and he will! On August 23, 2015 the first service was held at Fountain of Praise Church at it's new location 503 Station Street Converse, TX. Pastor Hale’s first message was entitled, “It’s ALL about Jesus!”

Our Pastor

The Preaching Machine, The Hale Storm!

District Elder Hale born in Pensacola, FL and grew up in Highland Park, MI. He was called at an early age to preach the gospel. As a young man, Pastor Hale was an All-State and All-American basketball player in both high school and junior college.  He attended Shasta Junior College and was inducted into the basketball Hall of Fame in 1986. Pastor Hale met his lovely wife “Lady J”, in Amarillo, Texas. District Elder Hale began his spiritual journey in 1985 under the tutelage of Bishop Aaron Charles Blake Sr. In 1996, District Elder Hale received a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Science from West Texas State University.
In 1997, District Elder Hale began working full-time in ministry reaching the lost and caring for burdened souls on a global scale. Pastor Hale and his family ventured to Albuquerque, New Mexico where he was led by Bishop Michael L. Shelby at God’s House Church.

Over the years, District Elder Hale and Lady Jennetta Hale had three children, Harvey Jr., Tiffany, and Michelle. In 2011, District Elder Hale and his family moved to San Antonio, Texas. During his evangelistic tenure, Pastor Hale was later called to pastor. After discussing the vision with his wife concerning the new direction God instructed, District Elder Hale moved into position.  Together we are on a mission to spread the word of God to a dying world, to reach the lost, to demonstrate God's love, and to lead God's people to a Christ centered, victorious life.

What We Believe

THE BIBLE

We Believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God, written by holy men of old as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

(2 Timothy 3:16-17) (2 Peter 1:21) (1 Corinthians 2:12-13)

ONE GOD

We Believe in one God who is infinite in power, holy in nature, attributes and purposes, as well as omniscient and omnipresent.

(Deuteronomy 6:4) (Colossians 1:15-17) (Ephesians 4:6)

JESUS CHRIST

We Believe in the Virgin Birth. Jesus was both human and divine, He was God manifested in the flesh. He was revealed to us as Father in creation, as Son in redemption, and as the Holy Spirit in His grace that never leaves those who trust Him.

(Matthew 1:18-23)

THE RESURRECTION

We Believe in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.

(1 Corinthians 15:1-4)

THE HOLY SPIRIT

We Believe that He ascended on high and sent His Spirit, the Holy Spirit, which was poured out at Jerusalem over 2000 years ago, and it is this same Spirit that is filling the hearts of those who diligently seek Him today. (Acts 2:3-4)

SALVATION

We Believe that the blood of Jesus Christ atones for our sins and iniquity. It is through His shed blood that we are saved, healed and set free from bondage and the forces of darkness.(Leviticus 17:11)

REPENTANCE

We Believe all must repent of their sins to be saved.

(Acts 3:19)

BAPTISM IN JESUS NAME

We Believe in baptism in the water by immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ according to Acts 2:38, and in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. This is the promise given to every believer.

(Acts 2:38) (Acts 2:4) (Romans 6:4)

SANCTIFIED LIVING

We Believe in living a holy, consecrated, sanctified life.

(1 Peter 1:13-16)

COMMUNION

We Believe in divine healing, communion and foot-washing.

(Matthew 26:26-28) (John 13:4-5,12-17)
